Rolling Stone magazine has awarded JOHN FOGERTY’s much-anticipated new album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE its very highest rating—a rare 5 stars—and tags the lead review on the cover, “John Fogerty’s All-Star Revival.” Read full review here. 

The album is due out this Tuesday, May 28, the same day FOGERTY—one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums—will perform a sold-out, one-night-only album release and birthday bash concert the El Rey in Los Angeles. May 28 also marks the birthday of the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The intimate show, which starts at 8:30 PM Pacific time, will be filmed and broadcast live on AXS TV.

05/10/13 JOHN FOGERTY JOINS THE ROLLING STONES AT SAN JOSE, CA SHOW

Northern California native JOHN FOGERTY took a break from the promo schedule for his upcoming WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE album to join The Rolling Stones onstage at their Wednesday, May 8 HP Pavilion at San Jose show.  The Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee sat in with the band, playing guitar and singing on their early gem “It’s All Over Now.”

FOGERTY—one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums—is busy gearing up for the May 28 release of WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE (Vanguard Records).  A celebration of FOGERTY’s iconic songbook, the much-anticipated album is a collection of 12 classics and deep tracks (Creedence Clearwater Revival and solo material) from his remarkable canon of hits recorded in collaboration with today’s biggest superstars from the country, pop and rock worlds, plus two brand new solo songs.

Black Prairie A Tear in the Eye Is a Wound in the Heart Release date: September 18, 2012

On September 18, Sugar Hill Records will release ‘A Tear in the Eye Is a Wound in the Heart…’ the second album by Black Prairie, the exploratory, back-porch ensemble founded by the Decemberists’ Chris Funk, Nate Query and Jenny Conlee.

Produced by Tucker Martine, ‘Tear in the Eye…’ is the follow up to ‘Feast of the Hunter’s Moon’, and the first Black Prairie album to primarily feature vocalist Annalisa Tornfelt. Written collaboratively by all band members, the album feels cinematic and familiar; Tornfelt’s gentle, classic country-inspired singing is connected to the band’s Baltic-Appalachian instrumentals by strange, orchestral interludes. The record is an evolution of the band’s love of instrumental, Italian film score weirdness and the venerable, forgotten roots of American and Eastern European folk.
